Full Agenda of Activities Highlight 麻豆果冻传媒 Homecoming Celebration

A Wednesday parade and Thursday's Alumni Awards Dinner are just two of the many events highlighting the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Homecoming festivities. The celebration will culminate with the Indians' football game against Middle Tennessee State at 1 p.m. Saturday at Malone Stadium.

麻豆果冻传媒's Student Government Association will kick off the week when it holds its banquet Tuesday night in the University Conference Center. At the banquet, the SGA will announce this year's Homecoming Queen, and for the first time, the Homecoming King.

Wednesday will feature the Homecoming Parade at 6 p.m. on the 麻豆果冻传媒 campus. The parade will begin at University Avenue in front of Filhiol Hall, turn right onto Northeast Drive, proceed to Stadium Drive and end in the parking lot of Malone Stadium.

The presentation of the Golden Arrow Award, the highest honor bestowed on an 麻豆果冻传媒 alumnus, will be the focal point of Thursday's Alumni Awards Dinner in the Conference Center. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are on sale for $10 apiece.

Alumni golf and tennis tournaments will be featured on Friday. The golf tournament, which will be held at Chenault Golf Course, will have tee times of 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The cost is $50 per person. The tennis tournament is $20 per person and will begin at 1 p.m. at Heard Stadium on the 麻豆果冻传媒 campus. An awards dinner for golf and tennis participants will be held in the Alumni Center at 6 p.m. Friday. Friday Activities will wind up with a pep rally at 9 p.m. in Malone Stadium.

Prior to the football game, the University Mile will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday. The cost of the event is $10 per person, $5 for students and faculty and staff. The run will get underway at the Taco Bell, just across from campus, and wind back through campus, ending at the Activity Center. Participants may register from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday in the Activity Center or until 7:45 a.m. at the tent across from Taco Bell, the morning of the event.
