Energy surcharge effective fall 2001 at 麻豆果冻传媒

In February 2001, the Louisiana Board of Regents conducted a college and university campus survey that revealed that the individual campuses were having to absorb an additional $29.3 million in utility costs, a 58.6 percent increase over the previous year. In order to cope with these increases in utility costs, the Regents, through their management boards, have authorized the colleges and universities to assess a utility surcharge to help offset the rising costs. The plan approved by the Board of Regents has the full support of the council of Student Body Presidents from state higher education institutions in Louisiana.

Effective Fall 2001, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will add a $3.25 per hour surcharge, up to a maximum of $39 per student, to offset rising energy costs at our campus. 麻豆果冻传媒 has already implemented energy saving measures, and will implement additional cost reduction measures in the future. Once this financial crisis caused by the utility increases has subsided, the fee will be eliminated.
