LA Board of Regents to hold EPSCoR grant program at 麻豆果冻传媒 on Tuesday
The Louisiana Board of Regents will host a La EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) grant presentation Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Center on the 7th floor of the University of Louisiana at Monroe Library.
The presentation will be by the Director of Special Initiatives for the Louisiana Board of Regents, Carmen Cain. Cain will talk about the variety of La EPSCoR funds available for use by 麻豆果冻传媒 faculty and staff. The presentation will also cover information on the various Louisiana Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) grants and Board of Regents Support Fund Programs as well as the 2002 State EPSCoR Conference entitled "Funding Opportunities for Emerging Technologies".
The purpose of the presentation is for 麻豆果冻传媒 faculty and staff to gain first hand information from the Director, Ms. Carmen Cain, and the Special Assistant to the Associate Commissioner for Research and Development, Ms. Erin Buratt, about funding possibilities for individual and group projects through the Board of Regents. Additionally, the presenters will discuss the Travel Grants for Emerging Faculty (TGEF) Program offered by the Board of Regents.
"At the presentation our faculty and staff will have the opportunity to learn about funding possibilities in the sciences, social sciences, and engineering areas. This presentation is held so our faculty and staff can learn important information about this funding source. There will be ample time for questions and answers associated with the presentation. We are the first University in Louisiana to have a program like this on our campus and we are excited about the possibilities", said Dr. Walter Creekmore, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at 麻豆果冻传媒.
