Lambda Alpha Epsilon Wins Seven Trophies at Regional Conference

Three members of the Phi Delta chapter of Lambda Alpha Epsilon, national criminal justice fraternity at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, brought home seven trophies including Top Academic Honors from the Lambda Alpha Epsilon Region II Conference held in San Marcos, Texas, recently.

Competing were Kaine Jones of San Jose, Calif., T.J. Scott of Dallas, Texas, and Ashley Ardoin of Ferriday. Scott won Top Academic Honors, Upper Division; First Place in Juvenile Justice, First Place in Criminal Knowledge, First Place in LAE Knowledge and Second Place in Corrections. Jones won Second Place in Physical Agility for men age 25 and under, and Third Place in Criminal Law.

Region II is composed of Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona. Other competing schools included: Southwest Texas State University, University of Arkansas System, New Mexico State University System, Sam Houston State University in Texas, East Central University in Okla., Southern Arkansas University, Louisiana State University System, University of North Texas, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Northwestern State University and the University of Arizona.

Lambda Alpha Epsilon will be competing against schools nationwide this March at the ACJA/LAE National Conference to be held in Orlando, Fla.
