New Cars and Equipment for 麻豆果冻传媒 Police
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Police Department recently received new equipment. The UPD purchased two Evacu-Tracs and have trained all of the officers on the force to use them. The new Evacu-Trac is a chair that helps officers move an injured person down the stairs. The chairs can carry a load of up to 300 lbs. Police Chief Larry Ellerman said 麻豆果冻传媒 has the only Evacu-Tracs in Monroe. Other new additions to the UPD are two new squad cars. Ellerman said the 2004 Dodge Intrepids are newer, smaller and have more horsepower than the Ford Crown Victorias that UPD already has. The Intrepid is the only police car that has front-wheel drive. Intrepids also ranked the highest in the annual Michigan Tests for ranking police squad cars, receiving the highest marks in cornering and braking abilities. Chief Ellerman says, "We are excited about the new equipment upgrades we have been able to make. We feel that the campus is a safer place now that these changes have been made. I believe the students will feel the same way."
