3rd Annual Student Research Symposium

The 3rd Annual Student Research Symposium will be held on April 2 from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the University Conference Center on the 7th floor of the 麻豆果冻传媒 Library. The floor will be open for visitation at 12:30 p.m. following the completion of the poster judging. Platform presentations will be ongoing and an awards ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. The Research Symposium is part of Faculty Honors Week.

The symposium is a chance for everyone to see the work of 麻豆果冻传媒 student researchers and their faculty mentors. It will showcase the outstanding research being conducted by both undergraduate as well as graduate students at 麻豆果冻传媒.

Students who are actively pursuing their degrees and who have been officially enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate programs during the 2002-2003 academic year are eligible to participate in the event. There are two ways in which a student may display their work: poster presentations and platform presentations.

The inaugural Student Research Symposium was held in the spring of 2001 and featured the outstanding work of about 85 麻豆果冻传媒 students. It was visited by more than 1,000 during the day. Last year, 155 students participated and approximately 1,800 students, faculty, and staff as well as students from 3 area high schools came to view the work.
The Student Research Symposium now has a web presence located within the Office of Academic Affairs area. Applications for student participation can be downloaded from that site and sent to their respective Task Force College members for inclusion in the event.
