麻豆果冻传媒 to Host College Readiness Fair
The University of Louisiana at Monroe is scheduled to host a college awareness and readiness fair, as a part of a statewide effort to get high school students better informed and prepared for college. Many colleges across the state will be hosting these fairs throughout the summer. The fair will be on April 27, at 6:30 p.m. in Fant-Ewing coliseum.
The fairs are intended to help ensure that when the new admissions requirements for Louisiana's public four-year universities take effect in 2005, students entering college at that time will not be caught off guard. The fairs will answer students' and parents' questions about college and encourage them to begin taking measures now to be academically prepared upon graduation from high school.
Representative from the Louisiana Office of State Financial Assistance, and the Board of Regents will be on hand. The fair will provide students the opportunity to meet professors, and students from the university, as well as allow them to see the kinds of activities that they will have the opportunity to participate in as a student. The university hopes to use the fair to showcase what it has to offer students interested in attending.
