麻豆果冻传媒 to Co-host the 2004 Families in Focus Summer Seminar
The 麻豆果冻传媒 SOCW Child Welfare title IV-E Program along with F.A.I.R. Visions, Inc. (Foster and Adoptive Information and Resources) are holding the 2004 Families in Focus summer seminar on Friday, June 18 at the Holiday Inn Holidome, Bonaparte Room, in Monroe from 8 a.m. 颅 4:15 p.m.
Five contact hours of training will be available for OCS workers, foster and adoptive parents, social workers and title IV-E students.
The featured speaker for the event is Roy Johnson. Johnson is a Staff Development Specialist with the Conway Human Development Center, DHS. He has been with the State of Arkansas for over 30 years in various staff training, supervisory and management positions.
Before this he was a teacher in the Little Rock School District. He has a B.A. degree from Philander Smith College in Little Rock and master's degree in counseling from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He is also a graduate of management and administration program from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Johnson is an internationally known motivational speaker and trainer consultant. He is a trainer for various Head Start programs throughout the country and is a frequent speaker for Head Start Pre-Service Training and Parent Involvement Conferences. Johnson is also a much sought after motivational speaker for Foster Parent Conferences, schools, businesses and churches, community organizations, youth and senior citizen groups and for various local, state and federal government agencies. He conducts training sessions on positive attitude, self-esteem creating a more positive work environment, grief and loss, child abuse, sexual harassment, stress and anger management, and other motivational and management training seminars for groups of all ages throughout the United States and around the world. He also holds retreats and delivers keynote addresses for luncheons and banquets. For over 30 years Johnson has helped thousands of people to develop a more positive attitude toward themselves, toward their jobs and toward others. He is also learning Spanish, French and other foreign languages.
This seminar will include sessions on the importance of having a good positive attitude, teamwork, time management, stress management, and reducing burnout, anger and conflict.
