Mike Francis speaks at 麻豆果冻传媒

Mike Francis, secretary of state candidate, spoke at 7 p.m. August 28 in the student study lounge, located on the second floor of 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 administration building. 麻豆果冻传媒 College Republicans hosted the event.

Francis' speech provided the 麻豆果冻传媒 community with a unique opportunity, said John Sutherlin, College Republicans advisor and assistant professor of history and government.

"Often we complain about not getting more information about our elected officials. This will be an opportunity for students and faculty to meet someone running for one of the most important statewide positions 鈥� Secretary of State,"  Sutherlin said. 鈥淪ince this office concerns elections and businesses (including non-profits), its impact is huge.鈥�

Francis serves as chief executive officer for Francis Drilling Fluids, Ltd., one of the Gulf Coast鈥檚 oldest drilling fluids companies.
