Instructor attends NLHA meeting

Marshall Scott Legan, head of the University of Louisiana at Monroe history and government department, attended the North Louisiana Historical Association Monday, Nov. 6, at Magnolia Plantation in the Cane River Creole National Historical Site near Natchitoches.

The group heard one of the ancestors of the Magnolia Plantation owners describe the history of the house, and afterwards toured the house and outbuildings.

The NLHA is currently working on the publication of an anthology of articles dealing exclusively with the history of North Louisiana.
