USAF honors clinical lab science professor

Michael Ramsey, clinical laboratory science professor and a medical laboratory officer in the 917th medical squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, received the Mentor of the Year award on Dec. 3.

This new award was presented to Maj. Ramsey for his "outstanding leadership and performance as an officer and mentor."

Ramsey's certificate of appreciation paid tribute to his contributions:

"Throughout this time frame you executed your duties as a mentor in an exemplary manner. You are a very reliable individual who consistently produced superior results within your department and subordinates. Your ever-present considerate attitude and congenial disposition were positive assets in your day-to-day activities with others."

Ramsey has served four years of active duty with the United States Air Force and 23 years with United States Reserves.
