Toy drive benefits 116 children
The second annual 麻豆果冻传媒 Toy Box Drive was a "huge success," with over 300 toys collected for the 116 children enrolled in Family Matters and Family Connections, local programs for abused and neglected children.
Molly Pealer, adviser of the 31 Ambassadors and assistant director of Alumni Programs, is happy with the results of the drive, which is sponsored by the 麻豆果冻传媒 31 Ambassadors, a student service organization administered by the Alumni Association, and the 麻豆果冻传媒 softball team.
鈥淚鈥檓 not surprised, but sincerely pleased by the generosity of our 麻豆果冻传媒 family and our community this year. We asked for new toys and cash donations with which to buy new toys and have collected enough to give each child in the program at least two gifts," Pealer said. "The 麻豆果冻传媒 Toy Box is just another example of how the spirit of the season is alive and well in our area. I鈥檓 especially proud of our students.鈥
