Transfer and Non-Traditional Student Orientation Aug. 8 and 9
On Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 9 from 6 - 8 p.m., a Transfer and Non-Traditional (TNT) Student Orientation will occur in the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building auditorium.
The TNT orientation will provide an opportunity for incoming transfer and non-traditional students to become more familiar with campus, gather important information, get advised, and register for classes. It is highly recommended that all new transfer and non-traditional students who have been admitted and not already registered for fall classes attend this program.
The orientation is similar to the one offered to incoming freshmen at PREP, although this program is more condensed to accommodate transfer and non-traditional student’s busy schedules..

Non-traditional students (non-trads), sometimes referred to as “adult learners,” are an extremely diverse group, including:
- students who entered college a year or more after high school graduation
- are working to support themselves or their families
- have dependents in their care
- are married or divorced
- are serving in the armed forces, or
- are veterans.
Nationally, non-trads comprise a quarter of the undergraduate population. At 鶹ý, they make up approximately 31 percent of the student population.
The Office of Commuter and Non-Traditional (CNT) Student Affairs sponsors several activities and programs to assist students with their continual development at 鶹ý. Contact ddameron@ulm.edu or 318-342-5232 for more information or go to:
