Alumni Increase Their Support and Involvement at 麻豆果冻传媒
The numbers are in and they reflect a remarkable increase in alumni activity and support at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The amount of alumni activity has extensively grown over the last five years, and 2006鈥檚 current totals demonstrate even further progress.
The ULM Alumni Relations staff has been busy both on and off the road. In 2001, 13 active chapters planned three chapter events. The number has increased each year; 23 active chapters planned 22 chapter events in 2005. So far, in 2006, 24 established chapters have planned 27 events.
These totals do not include any football game related undertaking or annual events such as the Golden Society reunion. It simply reflects a substantial increase in alumni chapter activity.
A significant amount of expansion and renewal among former chapters has developed during the last two years. In 2004, the Washington DC ULM Alumni Chapter joined the Louisiana College Coalition, which ULM Alumni Relations began. Alumni chapters re-formed in the Greater Atlanta, Greater Birmingham and Greater Jackson areas.
The votes of confidence continued in 2005. The Greater Nashville and Greater Carolinas began new 麻豆果冻传媒 alumni chapters, and the East/West Carroll and Arkoma (Tulsa) chapters also started anew.
The prosperity continues in 2006, as the Chicago ULM Alumni Chapter joins the Louisiana College Coalition. A new chapter will begin this year in the Caldwell Parish area.
Projected expansion in 2007 includes the NY City ULM Alumni Chapter joining the Louisiana College Coalition.
Alumni have also expressed their growing confidence in 麻豆果冻传媒 with an increase in the number of dues-paying alumni. Their presence has generously increased since 2001. In that year, there were 2,079 members, with 18 alumni achieving life memberships. By 2005, the first year of the Anniversary Dues Campaign, the total jumped to 2,755 members, with 34 alumni accomplishing life memberships.
The most current 2006 totals show an increase of 469 members as compared to the number this time last year. Similarly, six more life memberships have also been added than appeared this time last year.
The total number of members does not include ACs, which are the Alumni Complimentary memberships given to recent graduates for a year.
Physical improvements have been made to the Anna Gray Noe Alumni Center itself and the Alumni Association鈥檚 auxiliary equipment. Building upgrades include new carpet throughout; paint applied to the social room and building exterior; repairs to the fountain; repairs to the lights around the bayou seating area as the benches there were refinished; landscaping, including the trimming of the front yard trees; repairs to the tree lights, the installation of a storage building, the painting and maintenance of the Alumni Association trailer, and the addition of an utility vehicle for alumni events.
Contact with 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 alumni has been enriched, thanks to the addition of 鈥淕ood News,鈥 the twice a month on-line newsletter. It made its debut in June of 2004 and now reaches over 10,500 alumni and friends, regularly informing the members of the good work and incredible achievements that their support of 麻豆果冻传媒 accomplishes.
