Department of Communicative Disorders to Sponsor the 18th Annual CODI Spring Conference
The Department of Communicative Disorders (CODI) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is sponsoring the 18th Annual CODI Spring Conference Friday, March 10. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. with breakfast and registration at the Monroe Scottish Rite Temple on University Avenue.
The presentation by featured speakers Daymon Gilbert, M.Ed., CCC-SLP and Kathy Swiney, M.A., CCC-SLP of Kingwood, TX will begin at 8:15 a.m. in Brown Auditorium. Their topic—“The Wizard of /r/ (and now /s/)”—may be of interest to speech-language pathologists working with children who have articulation disorders.
Following lunch at Scottish Rite, the conference will continue. It is expected to end at 3:30 p.m. The conference is offered in conjunction with the Louisiana Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies, and participants are eligible for .5 CEUs (Continuing Education Units).
