PREP sessions filling up fast

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's PREP (Preview, Registration and Enrollment Program) season will begin with an already full session June 6-7. Future sessions will be on the following Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout June (June 13 - 14, 20 - 21 and 27 - 28).

PREP is a two-day program designed to help new students make a smooth transition to college life. All incoming freshmen are required to attend one of the four PREP sessions, during which they select fall classes, scope out the campus, and meet fellow classmates. The participants also meet with faculty and administrators, take necessary placement exams, change majors if needed, and make course selections. The students will leave PREP with a completed schedule of classes for the fall semester.

Testing services are available during PREP. Placement exams are offered for students who require placement in developmental courses. Foreign languages placement exams and CLEP exams are offered for students who wish to earn credit through credit-by-examination programs.

Placement exams and CLEP exams will be administered at 4 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to Day 1 of PREP. Scheduled exam(s) will be confirmed by the 麻豆果冻传媒 Testing Center via mail or telephone. If an individual has not heard from the Testing Center by the Thursday prior to a scheduled PREP session, please call the 麻豆果冻传媒 Testing Center at 318-342-5336 to confirm.

Individuals may register for exams when registering for PREP. For more information, go to: .

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $65 (mail-in registration

Parents will see firsthand where students will live, eat, and socialize. Parents will also be able to speak with faculty, staff and President James Cofer.

The fee for POP is $30 for a single guest or two guests for $50. Children under 12 cost $15. The fee for POP covers the cost of orientation materials and meals while at POP. All fees are nonrefundable. On-campus housing for parents is not available due to limited residence hall availability.
