CODI event attracts large number of participants

The 麻豆果冻传媒 communicative disorders department recently sponsored a Continuing Education event for professionals and students in the region on Aug. 23.  Eighty-seven participants, including faculty and students from 麻豆果冻传媒, La Tech, local hospitals, schools, and rehabilitation agencies attended the event in the Airway Sciences Building at 麻豆果冻传媒.

Joe Eral, vice president of TheraSimplicity, based in New Richmond, Wis., presented students and professionals with ways to access online therapy materials for clients with a myriad of communication disorders.

In addition to use by clinicians, CODI department faculty will now be able to access these materials for academic and clinical teaching.

Norma Johnson, director of clinical services at the 麻豆果冻传媒 Speech and Hearing Clinic said, 鈥淲e were very pleased that we were able to provide this Continuing Education activity for our colleagues in the community.  These materials promote improved quality of care provided to our clients and enhanced efficiency for clinicians.鈥

Judy Fellows, head of communicative disorders said, 鈥淎s the first to introduce these materials to this area, the CODI department continues to provide high quality clinical learning experiences for our students while sharing that knowledge with our colleagues in the profession.鈥
