Monroe ranks in top ten of Coldwell Banker® study scoring home prices in college football towns
Future homeowners looking for one of the most affordable college football towns to settle down in need look no further. The third annual Coldwell Banker® College Home Price Comparison Index has ranked Monroe, home to the University of Louisiana at Monroe, as the number seven most affordable college town in the U.S.
College towns bring together a diverse and energetic collection of academics, alumni, students, and sports and cultural enthusiasts; many of who support their university to such an extent that they choose to become homeowners nearby.
According to the study, a Monroe 2,220-foot, 4-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath home with a family room and two-car garage, would average $164,499.
The Sun Belt Conference, in which Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ participates, is ranked number five for affordability, with an average price of $297,886 for the same home.
The Coldwell Banker College Market HPCI specifically examines the markets that are home to 119 Football Bowl Subdivision (I-A) schools.
