Mathematics mini-conference at 鶹ý Feb. 10

The first annual Northeast Louisiana Association of Teachers of Mathematics Mini-Conference will be held Saturday, Feb. 10 from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in 鶹ý’s Airway Science Building.

Mathematics teachers from this area and surrounding parishes will share, learn, and discover unique techniques that will inspire students in the classroom.

Numerous talented speakers from northeast Louisiana will focus on various strands of mathematics including algebra, geometry, and Probability and will cover a range of grade level expectations.

Mini-Conference participants will be able to select from various presentations such as “Flying with Triangles,” “Building Algebra Concepts Through Problem Solving,” “A Framework for Understanding Poverty,” and “Simple Little Grants for the Classroom.”

In addition to being a networking opportunity, participants will also be able to earn up to three one-hour certificates of participation which may contribute to their continuing education requirements.
