Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ criminal justice professor to attend workshop educating about terrorism
Jeffrey Rush, assistant professor of criminal justice at the University
of Louisiana at Monroe, will be one of a select set of attendees
to attend the Summer Workshop On Teaching about Terrorism
at the University of Oklahoma
July 10 – 18.
SWOTT is intended to convey both broad and detailed knowledge and understanding of terrorism to teachers and scholars. The workshop is sponsored by the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, described by their Web site as “the only nonpartisan policy institute dedicated exclusively to promoting pluralism, defending democratic values, and fighting the ideologies that drive terrorism.â€
In 2003, Rush also attended a related FDD workshop in Israel. He was the only criminal justice faculty member in the initial group.
