SBDC workshop to focus on small business basic tax May 22

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will host a free “Small Business Basic Tax” workshop Tuesday, May 22 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the ULM Administration Building, room 2-105.

This workshop covers the basic tax responsibilities for the new business owner or the existing business owners who are contemplating switching business entity type (sole proprietor to partnership or corporation). It includes getting started, federal tax responsibilities, advantages and disadvantages of different types of business entities, estimated taxes, and record keeping basics.
