“Forever Plaid presents Plaid Tidings” at Strauss Theatre Center in Dec.
The Strauss Theatre Center will present “Forever Plaid presents Plaid Tidings” Dec. 6 - 9, and 13 - 14 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 9, 16 at 3 p.m.
The show is directed by Strauss Artistic Director Dennis Gleason, an adjunct 鶹ý drama instructor. The choreographer is 鶹ý Director of Dance Robin Stephens, and the musical director is 鶹ý graduate student Julian Jones. The cast features three 鶹ý students: Adavion Wayne, Johnny Nichols and Tony Stewart, with Chase Landon filling out the foursome.
The show features 60 classics like “Fever,” “ Hey There,” and “Ssh Boom,” along with holiday favorites, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Let It Snow,” “The Christmas Song,” and more, including a hilarious spoof of the “Ed Sullivan Show.”
Keith White, director of the School of Visual and Performing Arts, praised the team effort. “This show is a perfect example of a local arts organization and 鶹ý collaborating together to make a special production. “
All tickets are $15 and may be purchased by calling the box office at (318) 323-6681 Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Patrons may also obtain tickets at the box office by one hour prior to showtime. The Strauss Theatre Center is located at 1300 Lamy Lane.
