麻豆果冻传媒 announces winners of Ace's Adventures Coloring Contest
The University of Louisiana at Monroe proudly announces the winners of its Ace's Adventures Coloring Contest, sponsored by The News-Star, Brookshire's Food Stores and Lamar Advertising.
麻豆果冻传媒 President James Cofer expressed his appreciation for the community sponsors.
"When the university approached our community partners for help in promoting the Ace's Adventures coloring contest for children, The News-Star, Lamar Advertising, and Brookshire's immediately stepped forward. Their support of this contest, which promotes the Ace's Adventures initiative, is incredible, and all of us at 麻豆果冻传媒 sincerely appreciate their efforts. More than 17,000 children and several hundred teachers from 15 parishes are benefiting from this innovative resource."
The coloring contest entries were judged by 麻豆果冻传媒 students in Curriculum and Instruction Professor Ava Pugh's class. Entries were divided into four groups, according to grocery store locations.
North 18th Street Brookshire's location:
- first place, Alban Sims, third-grader at Lexington School
- second place, Frances Barham, kindergartener at Jesus The Good Shepherd School
- third place, Mary Amanda Dickerson, fourth-grader at Jesus The Good Shepherd School
DeSiard Street Brookshire's location:
- first place, Lillie Zagone, third-grader at Swartz Upper Elementary School
- second place, Mary Grace McVay, third-grader at Swartz Upper Elementary School
- third place, Cynthia Washington, first-grader at Delta Jr. High.
165 North Brookshire's location:
- first place, Ryan Reeves, fourth-grader at St. Jean Vianney School
- second place, Crew Wilson, second-grader at Swartz Lower Elementary School
- third place, Kade Woods, kindergartener at Swartz Lower Elementary School
Cypress Street Brookshire's location:
- first place, Caron Hunter, sixth-grader at A.L. Smith Elementary School
- second place, Gabrielle Lewis, third-grader at Riser Elementary School
- third place, McKenzie Parr, second-grader at Drew Elementary School
