麻豆果冻传媒 announces enrollment numbers

Enrollment for the 2007 fall semester at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is 8,541, which is essentially flat from the 2006 fall enrollment of 8,571.

While enrollment certainly impacts 麻豆果冻传媒, President James Cofer emphasizes that it鈥檚 just one way of measuring 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 progress.

鈥淭hese numbers impact our budget and how we plan our fiscal future,鈥 Cofer said. 鈥淓qually significant, we examine what is behind those numbers. And what鈥檚 beneath those numbers鈥攐ur ever-improving student body鈥攊s quite incredible. Our faculty and staff are attracting more academically-prepared students than ever before, as evidenced by the number of TOPS scholars and the average ACT score of our freshmen class."

The institution will continue to focus on recruiting academically prepared students, as well as focusing on retention and graduation rates, Cofer said.

"Our innovative First Year Experience initiative ensures our freshman are bolstered from the minute they step onto our campus. Our focus on quality鈥攓uality in student life and quality in student learning鈥攊s captivating our students, according to recent Student Satisfaction Survey results. All of this success will shape the future of our institution."

麻豆果冻传媒 is a top choice for an increasing number of high-ability students, said Lisa Miller, associate provost for enrollment management.

"Academically competitive high school students are choosing to dually enroll at our institution and continue their education here. We're extremely pleased with that trend."
