Fall Chautauqua Nexus discussions continue; focus on religious topics as well as emotional intelligence
The educational and cultural Chautauqua Nexus series will continue its semester roster with several scheduled discussions.

On Monday, Sept. 24, Roxann and Chris Johnson will speak about āHaifa, Israel: Share Our Journey to the Bahaāi Holy Land.ā
Holly Wilson will direct a discussion about āPrudence and Emotional Intelligenceā Monday, Oct. 1.
All events will begin at 7:15 p.m. in room 134 of the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building (at the corner of Northeast Avenue and Filhiol Street).
Nexus presentations are free, informal and open to the public. Everyone is invited to attend. Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ FRYS students are encouraged to attend and sign in.
āThe Nexus is an opportunity for intellectual and cultural exchange,ā said Joe McGahan, Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ psychology professor and Chautauqua Nexus organizer. āThis year we're focusing on a change in scheduling (with Mondays being the primary meeting day) intended to free us to develop a think tank, or multiple think tanks, that, like the Nexus, will build on the cultural resources of our community. Whereas the Nexus series will continue to be about virtually any topic that people find interesting, the think tank will focus on economic security and economic developmentāto a large extent, weād like to focus on the potential of research and development.ā
