Sigma Tau Delta seeks used cell phones
Sigma Tau Delta, the English Department's Honor Society, is collecting used cell phones. The phones are then recycled, and all profits are used to purchase phone cards for deployed troops. The campaign begins April 14 and ends April 25.
Cell phones may be dropped off in three locations: the English Department Office, located on the third floor of the Administration Building, the SUB Commuter Lounge, near the Information Desk, and the 麻豆果冻传媒 Library, near the Reference Desk.
English Assistant Professor Mary Adams, Ph.D., is the adviser for Sigma Tau Delta. "We believe this can be a very successful campaign for a number of reasons. Used cell phones are easy to find as people often don't know what to do with them. Also, donating them in this way combines helping our troops with helping the environment."
