Soccer Balls Meet Brains event at ULM April 25
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ students know all about multitasking. In demonstration of this, there will be a Soccer Balls Meets Brains event Friday, April 25 in the Student Union Building, Ballroom A, from 6 – 9 p.m.
This will be an opportunity for members of the Soccer Club to show their appreciation to their supporters. They also wish to use this avenue to publicly congratulate the International Public Debate Association National Championship winning Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Speech and Debate Team on their success. There will be a few exhibition debates for attendees to enjoy.
Chinedu Akunne is a senior from Nigeria and a member of both the Soccer Club and of the Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Speech and Debate Team. “We want to bring the existence of both clubs to the awareness of the people of the community. People always want to see soccer and a debate. A mix of both won’t hurt.â€
There will be light refreshments served at the event, and the public is welcome – there is a seating limit of 200 individuals. There is no charge to attend, though donations to either club will “be accepted and highly appreciated.â€
