Auditions for 鶹ý productions of “Hansel & Gretel” and “Anything Goes” to begin Aug. 22
Auditions for the 鶹ý opera “Hansel & Gretel” and preliminary auditions for the Broadway musical “Anything Goes” will begin Friday, Aug. 22.
The auditions for “Hansel & Gretel” will be from 1 – 3 p.m., and are by appointment. Interested individuals should call (318) 342-3247.
The opera opens Friday, Oct. 31, in Brown Auditorium on the 鶹ý campus. Four performances are scheduled. Rehearsals will occur Mondays through Thursdays from 4 – 5:30 p.m. until performance week. 鶹ý’s Dr. Mark R. Clark will direct the production, and Dr. Deborah Chandler will conduct.
The preliminary auditions for “Anything Goes” will begin Friday, Aug. 22, at 3 p.m., beginning with a group meeting. Auditions will consist of a simple dance step and singing 16 measures of a chorus of a Broadway melody.
Opening Thursday, April 2, in Brown Auditorium on the 鶹ý campus, this production will be directed by 鶹ý’s Kyle Zimmerman, choreographed by Robin Stephens, and conducted by Dr. Jason Rinehart. Final auditions will be in November, and the show will begin rehearsals in January.
Appointments are not necessary for the preliminary “Anything Goes” audition.
