A Celebration of Sciences and Humanities set for Jan. 24
A Celebration of Sciences and Humanities will occur at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Thursday, Jan. 24 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. in the SUB Ballroom.
During this event, the College of Arts and Sciences celebrates its disciplines. High school teachers are invited to bring three high school students for dinner and hands-on displays about the sciences and humanities.
College of Arts and Sciences Dean Dr. Jeffrey Cass expressed the crucial connection between the community and these academic specialties. “It is vital for the community to realize the importance of the humanities and sciences in their everyday lives and recognize that the intellectual foundations of our culture depend on their participation in and support of these disciplines’ appreciation and development.â€
