Commuter Coffee Break and CNT Coffee Lounge scheduled for Jan. 29 and 30
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ students are invited to the Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Affairs Commuter Coffee Break Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 8 – 10 a.m. in the Student Union Building’s Commuter Student Lounge. Coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast bars will be served to all CNT students.
There will be another opportunity to enjoy the same refreshments at the CNT Coffee Lounge on Wednesday, Jan. 30 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the same location.
More events will follow in February. A CNT Brown Bag Lunch (complete with free sack lunches) will occur Thursday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the SUB Commuter Student Lounge.
The Commuter Grab-&-Go Dinner will be held in the same location on Monday, Feb. 18 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. CNT students will have a chance to enjoy free pizza and drinks.
The Non-Traditional Student Organization focuses on issues facing non-traditional students on a daily basis, changes needed on campus to benefit the non-trads, and on possible social events.
A non-traditional student is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics: age 25 years or older; married; has children who receive more than half of their support from the student; has legal dependents, other than child or spouse, that live with and receive more than half of their support from the student; or is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
NTSO is accepting applications for the Spring 2008 semester. Membership is required to attend NTSO meetings. Annual membership fees of $10 are due upon joining.
Non-traditional students are automatically eligible to participate in the National Non-Trad Student Week and qualify for the Non-Trad Student of the Month Award, as well as participate in the Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Affairs events.
