Three 麻豆果冻传媒 College of Pharmacy students receive Wal-Mart scholarship awards

Three University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy students have each been awarded a one-time $1,000 The Pharmacy at Wal-Mart Scholarship.

Jennifer Teat, Betthany Thomas, and Ryan Lassabe were specifically selected to receive additional funds this year; previously, Wal-Mart awarded one 麻豆果冻传媒 student with the grant annually.

Michael B. Peerson, director of Talent Services and Campus Relations for Wal-Mart Stores 鈥� Professional Divisions, expressed that, 鈥淲e want to reaffirm the value we place on our relationship with your school and hope that this $3,000 award will assist students that truly need financial assistance. Education remains a priority for us and each year we review the Pharmacy Scholarship programs to ensure these programs meet our company鈥檚 commitment to education.鈥�

Each student was chosen based on the following criteria:

• A pharmacy student with high scholastic standing in his/her last three years of school.
  
• A financial need, to help the student with tuition, books, etc.
  
• A student that has shown the ability to lead others.
  
• A student that shows a strong desire to enter community practice upon graduation and has current/previous experience in community practice.
  
• The student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
