Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta attends AED convention; receives two awards
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ students and faculty representing the Louisiana Epsilon chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta (the health pre-professional honor society) recently attended the biennial convention of AED March 6 – 9 in Grapevine, Texas.
The Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ chapter received two awards in the small chapter division of the Southwest Region of AED, which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. It received a second place for attendance at the meeting and a second place for chapter activities since the last meeting in 2006.
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Dr. Davis W. Pritchett was also recognized for his service as the chapter advisor for Louisiana Epsilon for the past 12 years. Students attending were Seth Hale (a biology senior from Grand Prairie, Texas), Alison Guerrero (a biology senior from Monroe), Jeremy Harmson (a biology senior from Pineville) and Nicole Schaferkotter (a biology senior from Albany).
Over 400 students and faculty representing the 200 chapters had the opportunity to attend workshops dealing with a wide variety of topics concerned with healthcare and admission to professional medical programs.
