Spring 2008 CNT events continue; next on March 19
A CNT Coffee Break will occur Wednesday, March 19 from 8 - 10 a.m. in the SUB Commuter Student Lounge. Coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast bars will be served.
The remaining spring events include a CNT Brown Bag Lunch (complete with free sack lunches) Wednesday, April 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the SUB Commuter Student Lounge as well as a CNT Breakfast. The breakfast will be held Thursday, April 24 from 8 – 10 a.m. in the commuter lounge, and coffee, juice, and muffins will be served.
The Non-Traditional Student Organization focuses on issues facing non-traditional students on a daily basis, changes needed on campus to benefit the non-trads, and on possible social events.
A non-traditional student is defined as having one or more of the following characteristics:
- age 25 years or older
- married
- has children who receive more than half of their support from the student
- has legal dependents, other than child or spouse, that live with and receive more than half of their support from the student
- is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces
NTSO is accepting applications for the Spring 2008 semester. Membership is required to attend NTSO meetings. Annual membership fees of $10 are due upon joining.
Non-traditional students are automatically eligible to participate in the National Non-Trad Student Week and qualify for the Non-Trad Student of the Month Award, as well as participate in the Commuter and Non-Traditional Student Affairs events.
