VAPA partners with the Biedenharn Museum and Gardens for ā€œOutdoor Childrenā€™s Operaā€ Oct. 23-25

The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens will present the ā€œOutdoor Childrenā€™s Operaā€ Oct. 23-25, in partnership with the University of Louisiana Monroe Division of Music.

School performances are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, and Friday, Oct. 24, at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon. The public performance will occur Saturday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. All will occur in the ELsong Gardens.

ā€œMother Goose,ā€ an outdoor childrenā€™s opera, will be presented. In the performances, Little Bo Peep, Humpty Dumpty and other nursery rhyme characters come to life on Mother Goose Avenue during a series of operatic sketches.

Tickets are $3 each for children and are $4 for adults. Kindergarten, first and second grade teachers are invited to reserve seats for the school performances; advance registration and payment are required for these. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. No reservations are otherwise required.
