鶹ý Percussion Ensemble Concert April 27
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Percussion Ensemble Concert will present a treat for music lovers Monday, April 27, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.
Larry Anderson, associate professor of music, will direct. He will be assisted by Mel Mobley, Ph.D., and graduate assistants Michael Holdiness and John Pirkey.
The repertoire will include: "Rainforest Journey" by Charlie Sivils, "Rochambeaux" by Brian Mason, "Triple Threat" featuring a drum-set trio, and "Septet" by Daniel Levitan. "Grand Ambulation of the B-flat Zombies" by John Bergamo and a special arrangement of the "Flight of the Bumblebee" will also be featured.
The Percussion Ensemble includes a steel band.
“This is always an ‘audience favorite’ concert at 鶹ý,” said Matthew James, associate dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. “This exciting ensemble will capture your imagination through a wide variety of percussion instruments and styles.”
There is no charge to attend.
