麻豆果冻传媒 Trombone Ensemble and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble performance April 22

Musical delights await audience members Wednesday, April 22, as the University of Louisiana at Monroe Trombone Ensemble and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble begin their performance at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Assistant Professor of Music Micah Everett, D.M.A., will conduct.

The 麻豆果冻传媒 Trombone Ensemble will play a transcription of a piece from 鈥淭he Creation鈥 by Franz Josef Haydn: 鈥淎chieved is the Glorious Work,鈥 arranged by Donald Miller.

Miler鈥檚 arrangement of 鈥淎doramus Te, Christe鈥 by Ottorino Gasparini is also on the program, along with 鈥淭he Great Lakes Octet鈥 by Eric Ewazen.

The 麻豆果冻传媒 Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble will play a transcription from 鈥淭he Planets鈥 by Gustav Holst, titled 鈥淢ars: The Bringer of War,鈥 which is arranged by David Butler. They will also perform 鈥淩icercar del Primo Tuono鈥 by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina by way of Tim Olt鈥檚 arrangement, and 鈥淒ances,鈥 and 鈥淧ower鈥 by John Stevens.

The Combined Ensembles will play 鈥淩olling Thunder鈥 by Henry Fillmore, by way of Everett鈥檚 arrangement.
