LSBDC set to offer workshop on surviving the recession Feb. 17
The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer a Feb. 17 workshop designed to help small businesses survive the recession.
“Managing Business During a Recession” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 2-105 of the ULM Administration Building. Registration for the program is $10.
LSBDC officials report that good cash flow management is a major source of survival during a recession and cash flow problems may arise from undercapitalizing the business, spending too much on the business or personal misuse of cash.
Cash inflows are another source of cash flow problems, according to the LSBDC, which includes concerns such as inadequate sales, poor pricing practices and credit-collection problems. Cash flow also involves time issues.
These issues and more will be covered at the workshop, and time will be set aside to address specific problems individual businesses are having, according to the LSBDC.
Call 318-342-1224 or visit for more information, or to register for the workshop.
