Faculty artist member selected to participate in professional retreat

A Visual and Performing Arts faculty member at the University of Louisiana at Monroe was selected to participate in the Creative Capital Professional Development retreat, hosted by the Louisiana Division of the Arts.

Associate Professor Clifford Tresner has been selected to attend the retreat, which took place recently at the Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge.

The weekend is designed to help Louisiana artists further their professional development skills, with a stated goal to provide a cohesive structure that will help artists to organize, plan, and sustain their creative careers.

Creative Capital, a New York City-based nonprofit organization, founded by Ruby Lerner, supports artists who pursue innovation in form and/or content in the performing and visual arts, film and video, and in emerging fields.
