Miss 麻豆果冻传媒 to compete in Miss Louisiana Pageant June 18-20; coveted internship on the horizon

Miss University of Louisiana at Monroe Hope Anderson is hitting the ground running this summer. Fresh from her finals, Anderson prepares to compete in the Miss Louisiana Pageant June 18-20, and in an upcoming prestigious internship in July.

Anderson, a mass communications junior from Monroe with a 4.0 grade point average, has been fulfilling her duties as the face of 麻豆果冻传媒 since October 2008, as well as serving as a spokesperson for Pilot鈥檚 for Patients and a fundraising ambassador for the Children鈥檚 Miracle Network for over a year.

Her philanthropy and speaking engagements reflect Anderson鈥檚 personal platform, 鈥淟ove the Skin You鈥檙e In: Invest in Others and Win.鈥

She will follow these community-focused activities via a coveted internship with an international public relations and image consulting firm from Newport Beach, Calif., called Outside Eyes. Among the firm鈥檚 clients are well-known band the Jonas Brothers. Anderson鈥檚 internship is slated to begin July 6.

鈥淏eing the face of Miss 麻豆果冻传媒 is a privilege,鈥 Anderson said. 鈥淚 have worked rigorously in college, and I鈥檓 so excited to be one of two students in America selected for this summer intern program; it will be an incredible learning experience.

鈥淭here are 28 other wonderful girls who want the title of Miss Louisiana. They are all beautiful, talented and smart. I am working tirelessly but enjoying the process - my motto is, 鈥楧o your best and leave the results to God.鈥 While I am hoping to win on June 20, I trust that God has the best plan for my life, and both paths are win-win opportunities for me.鈥

In addition Anderson said, 鈥淭he Miss Louisiana Organization of volunteers provides a wonderful week for all of the Miss Louisiana contestants. Besides competition nights, the week is packed with exciting events - every girl walks away with priceless memories, stories and laughs.

鈥淚 am hoping that Ouachita Parish and surrounding communities will come to the Civic Center on June 18, 19 and 20 for Miss Louisiana and support one the largest scholarship opportunities for women in the Miss America Organization. It鈥檚 a wonderful show with terrific talent from around our state and an opportunity to be part of a live production right here in Monroe.鈥
