Redding earns award from Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters

University of Louisiana at Monroe alumnus Robert ā€œRobā€ Redding Jr. has secured another distinguished honor in 2009 ā€“ he won an Internet award from the Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association this month.

Redding, a recent communication studies graduate from Fayetteville, Ga., and a member of Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ā€™s award-winning Speech and Debate Team, won ā€œFirst Place for Best Web Siteā€ for his work with KEDM-FM in Monroe. His more than two-year term at the station included heading the siteā€™s news and updates.

And this has been quite a stellar year for Redding, who is CEO of Redding Communications Inc, known for programming like the ā€œRedding News Review.ā€ This nationally-syndicated program earned a prestigious Gold ADDY Award March 12 from the American Federation of Advertisers Northeast Louisiana chapter.

In April, it was announced that Reddingā€™s theory on competitive argumentation, ā€œResolution of Risk,ā€ was published in a peer-reviewed communication publication, ā€œThe Journal of the International Public Debate Association.ā€

On the Ā鶹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ side, Redding also recently appeared in the 2009 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, recognized for being a national outstanding campus leader.
