麻豆果冻传媒 professor appointed Louisiana coordinator for Amnesty International
A University of Louisiana at Monroe faculty member, newly appointed as Legislative Coordinator for Amnesty International USA in the State of Louisiana, attended an Amnesty USA campaign priority meeting in Washington, D.C., earlier this month.
Assistant Professor Madalla A. Alibeli joined Amnesty International in 1992, and established an Amnesty Chapter at 麻豆果冻传媒 in spring 2008, which he continues to advise.
The group is open for all 麻豆果冻传媒 students who are interested in upholding liberty, freedom, and human rights, according to Alibeli.
The primary purpose of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning international organization is 鈥渢o protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. Amnesty investigates and exposes abuses, educates and mobilizes the public, and helps transform societies to create a safer, more just world.鈥
Alibeli is an assistant professor of sociology in 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Department of Gerontology, Sociology and Political Science.
