鶹ý presents Fall Fusion Dance Concert Dec. 4

The School of Visual and Performing Arts’ Repertory Dance Ensemble at The University of Louisiana at Monroe will perform the Fall Fusion Dance Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Brown Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the 鶹ý’s Repertory Dance Ensemble performing in a “celebration of past and present” through tributes to the performing icons Merce Cunningham, Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze and Annie Lennox.

The concert includes a performance featuring African music provided by Graduate Assistant Michael Holdiness and the 鶹ý Percussion Ensemble and choreographed by Assistant Professor of Dance Tina Mullone.

Also featured is Anne Lennox’s “Life Cycles,” a work conceived and directed by Robin Stephens, assistant professor of dance at 鶹ý.

Stephens, Mullone and Gretchen Jones choreographed the dance pieces within this series. Dr. Jack Heflin, professor of English, wrote original poetry for this event and Jerry Johnson oversaw costume design and execution.
