Āé¶¹¹ū¶³“«Ć½ to host a reading by local author April 14
The University of Louisiana at Monroeās English department will host a reading from author and north Louisiana native William Caverlee at 7 p.m. on April 14 in the Hemphill Airway and Computer Science Building auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Caverlee will read from his recently published book āAmid the Swirling Ghosts,ā a collection of literary essays and feature stories from throughout his life. The topics range from William Faulkner and Flannery OāConnor to āPistolā Pete Maravich and Bonnie and Clyde, with many more subjects in between.
Caverleeās writings have appeared in several publications including āThe Christian Science Monitor,ā āThe Cimarron Reviewā and āLouisiana Literature.ā Heās also a contributing writer to āThe Oxford American.ā
