Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ online programs recognized by U.S. News & World Report

When U.S. News & World Report released its recent rankings for online programs, the University of Louisiana at Monroe was the only Louisiana institution recognized in all four categories.

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ was recognized primarily for its master of arts in teaching degree program. "It is very exciting, and we do think it's well deserved," said Sandra Lemoine, dean of Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½'s College of Education and Human Development.

"These rankings show we are maintaining the integrity of our online programs by making sure each course that is put online is a quality product."

U.S. News & World Report is known for its ranking system and annual reports on American colleges, graduate schools and hospitals.

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ fared well in the "Top Online Graduate Education Programs" grouping:

• Number 19 in "Admissions Selectivity" - no other Louisiana institution was listed in the top 26. .

• Number 33 in "Faculty Credentials and Training" - no other Louisiana institution was listed in the top 69. .

• Number 68 in "Student Services and Technology" – Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ is ranked highest among Louisiana institutions with Northwestern at number 75. No other Louisiana institutions were listed in the top 151. .

• Number 99 in "Student Engagement and Accreditation" - Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ was ranked second to Northwestern at number 51. No other Louisiana institution was listed in the top 156. .
