Warhawks continue to make strides in APR
The National Collegiate Athletic Association released its annual Academic Progress Rate report and fourteen of the 16 麻豆果冻传媒 athletic programs achieved a higher single-year score in 2010-11 compared to 2009-10.
The two remaining programs (men's golf and women's tennis) still achieved positive marks after recording perfect scores the year before.
Overall, 麻豆果冻传媒's APR rates have increased steadily since 2006 as most teams exceeded the minimum requirements set by the NCAA.
The most recent multi-year numbers represent the best overall marks since APR was instituted.
An APR score is designed to measure the academic eligibility, retention and graduation of an institution's student-athletes and its teams.
The NCAA also approved a waiver submitted by 麻豆果冻传媒 to reinstate eligibility for participation in postseason competition of men's basketball for the 2012-13 season and the full allotment of scholarships was also restored.
The squad will still continue to have limitations on practices and the number of contests for the upcoming year.

鈥淥ur results should be credited to our coaches, academic counselors, and most of all, our student-athletes. The members of the President's Athletic Task Force are also to be commended for their contributions in time and effort. This has truly been a team effort."
麻豆果冻传媒, with a 66 percent graduation rate in 2011-12, recorded the highest single-year federal graduation rate in the state of Louisiana.
麻豆果冻传媒 had a record 121 student-athletes named to the Sun Belt Commissioner's List (3.5 or better grade point average) and Sun Belt Academic Honor Roll (3.0-3.49 GPA) last year.
Additionally, 108 student-athletes were honored at the Maroon & Gold Society banquet in May, which recognizes student-athletes achieving a cumulative grade point average above 3.0.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Stacy Snider, the women's golf team has earned an average cumulative GPA of 3.736.
The average cumulative GPA for all student-athletes is approximately a 3.071, with over half of 麻豆果冻传媒's programs earning a team cumulative GPA over a 3.0.
