麻豆果冻传媒 business faculty shine at entrepreneurship conference
Faculty members from the University of Louisiana at Monroe's College of Business presented research, received awards, and assumed new leadership roles at the 38th Annual Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Conference in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Paul Dunn, retired distinguished professor of entrepreneurship, won the Best Paper Award for his paper, "Entrepreneurial Learning and Business Assessment: What New Decisions Would be Made after Learning?"
Dunn co-authored the paper with Kathleen Liang from the University of Vermont. Dunn recently retired from 麻豆果冻传媒 after serving more than 40 years as a professor of entrepreneurship and director of the 麻豆果冻传媒 Small Business Development Center.
Dr. Laurie Babin, 麻豆果冻传媒 professor of marketing, was named president-elect of the association, while Dr. Eugenie Goodwin, an adjunct professor of finance and entrepreneurship, and counselor with the 麻豆果冻传媒 Small Business Development Center, was elected vice president of programs and treasurer for the association.
Dr. Henry Cole, professor of marketing, and faculty chair of the 麻豆果冻传媒 marketing program, was elected vice president of membership.
In addition, Deborah Golemon, assistant professor of business at 麻豆果冻传媒, presented research and was recognized for her participation as track chair for the conference.
Dr. Melissa Melancon, assistant professor of finance, also attended and presented a research paper.
"We are very proud of our faculty for their outstanding research efforts and their willingness to take leadership roles in this national organization," said Dr. Ron Berry, dean of the 麻豆果冻传媒 College of Business.
"Their leadership and research success brings outstanding recognition to 麻豆果冻传媒 and the College of Business."
