鶹ý psychology professor featured in The Psychology Times

Dr. Rick Stevens, associate professor of psychology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was featured in an article titled “Psychology and Cyberspace” published in The Psychology Times, Vol. 3.

Written by J. Nelson and N. Jordan, the article focuses on Stevens’ use of virtual reality programs in the classroom.

Stevens is using the technology to create a different type of learning experience for his students that is both creative and beneficial to the overall idea of producing better, interactive online courses.

In the article, Stevens explained his use for virtual reality programs. “I've been using virtual reality programs to conduct memory research,” said Stevens.

“Virtual reality gives you a lot of control over cues, and there may be ways to make computer presentations easier to recall rather than harder.”

In addition, Stevens recently presented at the National Technology and Social Science conference in Las Vegas, Nev. on “Memory Enhancement Using Virtual Worlds.”
