Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Chenoweth publishes unique book chapter
Dr. M. Sean Chenoweth, associate professor of geosciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, recently published a book chapter in a 14-volume collection titled “Treatise on Geomorphology,†edited by Dr. John F. Shroder of the University of Nebraska Omaha and published by Academic Press.
According to the book’s description, “No other reference work exists in the area of Geomorphology that offers the breadth and depth of information contained in this 14-volume masterpiece…no ‘stone’ has been left unturned!â€
Co-authored with Dr. Mick Day of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Chenoweth’s chapter, “Surface Roughness of Karst Landscapes†will appear in Volume 6 on karst geomorphology. Karst is a landscape created when layers of soluble bedrock are dissolved.
“My contribution to this multiyear effort highlights the uniqueness of karst terrain – limestone landscapes – and the modern methods used to analyze its surface topography,†said Chenoweth.
“This book chapter will give my research on tropical karst geomorphology a global audience.â€

Chenoweth earned his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2003, specializing in geomorphology, remote sensing, and GIS.
He has been teaching at Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ since 2003.
