麻豆果冻传媒 College of Business honors academic excellence
The College of Business at the University of Louisiana at Monroe recently held its 45th Annual Honors Banquet in the 麻豆果冻传媒 Conference Center to honor its outstanding students.
The highest award given to a graduate from the College of Business Administration was the 2012-2013 Dean's Award of Excellence presented to Lynden Lyles of Pineville.
She received $1,000.
She also received the Outstanding Graduate in Risk Management and Insurance Award and the Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Undergraduate Award.
The 2012-2013 Distinguished Scholar Award, which included $750, was presented to Morgan Ashley Huggins of West Monroe.
The 2012-2013 Outstanding Scholar Award, which included $500, went to Kristen Purcell of Rayville. She also received the Outstanding Graduate in Marketing Award.
The 2012-2013 Award of Commendation, which included $250, went to Timothy Hardham of Melbourne, Australia. He also received the Outstanding Graduate in Finance Award.
Outstanding awards by program included:
Ruslan Hemed of Jerusalem, Israel was selected by the graduate faculty of the College of Business Administration as the Outstanding Master of Business Administration Graduate for the 2012 calendar year.
Eddi Hernandez of West Monroe received the Outstanding Graduate in Accounting Award.
Chanel Ingram of Winnsboro received the Outstanding Graduate of Agribusiness Award.
Adam Shockey of Bastrop received the Outstanding Graduate in Aviation Award.
Yan Jiang of Bastrop received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Information Systems Award.
Daniel Cordell of Rayville received the Outstanding Graduate in Computer Science Award.
Cameron Wilson of Gardner received the Outstanding Graduate in Construction Management Award.
Alicia DeLong of West Monroe received the Outstanding Graduate in General Business Award.
Stephani Stephens of Wisner received the Outstanding Graduate in Management Award.
Graduating senior awards were presented to students who have stayed the course to graduation and have distinguished themselves in their major.
Selected were Holly Betts of Monroe, marketing; John Boleware of Epps, finance; Jason Conville of West Monroe, computer information systems; Zachary Duchesne of West Monroe, accounting; Holten Elmore of Monroe, construction management; Tracy Ensminger of Monroe, risk management and insurance; Dennis Ezell of Calhoun, computer science; Aimee Jackson of Calhoun, accounting; Jordan McMillon of Eros, agribusiness; Lindsey Remides of Monroe, management; Joseph Voigt of Jena, aviation.
Beta Gamma Sigma, the national honorary fraternity for collegiate business students, selected its outstanding students. The Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding Junior Scholarship, which included a $1,000 scholarship for 2013-2014, was awarded to Gabriel Silva of Barretos, SP, Brazil. The Beta Gamma Sigma Outstanding MBA member is Ruslan Hemed of Jerusalem, Israel.
Undergraduates who were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma during the 2012-2013 academic year are Jeffrey Fuller, Eddi Hernandez and Sydney Williams of West Monroe; Tracy Ensminger of Monroe; John Patrick Owen and Jacob Romero of Rayville; Taylor Kemp and Morgan Lebleu of Sterlington; Lesley Engolia of Covington; Emily Veuleman of Pineville; Ellen Nicholson of St. Francisville; Jon Fisher of Oxford, Miss.; Allen Shrestha of Nepal; and Gabriel Silva of Barretos, SP, Brazil.
The Master of Business Administration student recognized for Beta Gamma Sigma membership is Robert Paul Kitchell of Monroe. Several MBA students also earned a 2nd Recognition Certificate from the organization, Ruslan Hemed of Jerusalem, Israel, Ashley Kirby of Harrisonburg, Chandani Patel of Winnfield, Haley Chop Pulliam of West Monroe, and Cori Smit of Monroe.
The 麻豆果冻传媒 Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma also bestowed honorary membership on two community leaders, Jerry Allen and David Cole.
