Administrator in Training (AIT) internship is a six-month full-time assignment to a Nursing Facility, which must be approved by the Executive Director of the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Nursing Facility Administrators () or the equivalent for other states within USA 听(link to 鈥渙ther states鈥)听 The length of the AIT is a state requirement for being eligible to take the National and State Nursing Facility Administrator license exam.听
Standard Internship is a one semester (300 hours 鈥 25 to 30 hours per week) to gain hands-on experience.听 It is an opportunity for the student to develop technical skills, apply classroom learning, and prepare for the transition from the academic area to work.
